I am 1 of millions, who were super excited when hearing that Brad Pitt would be the face of Chanel No. 5. As the first male face of Chanel N0.5, one would think that they would “Wow” us with his glorious face or let us indulge with that sexy body of his but nope, the ads and especially the commercial are pretty much awful. Womp, womp. I usually would excuse poor Brad, considering he didn’t get a say in directing this but I am sure he could have cleaned himself up a bit before being in a CHANEL!!!! campaign. Right?
To add insult to injury, the “poem” writer is Joe Wright, who has written films as big as ‘Atonement’. The words are just so awkward and definitely could have been better if this was an ad for a cheesy romance novel. Chanel is so much better than this.
Marchesa has FINALLY blessed us with a scent of their own. The luxurious brand known for their glamorous gowns has launched their first fragrance. The label will be selling their perfume called Parfume d’Extase exclusively at Sephora. The perfume is available in two sizes and retails for $60–$85. Marchesa’s co-founder Georgina Chapman tells WWD, “Evening wear evokes an emotion, and this scent does the same thing.” I am sure the fragrance smells just as beautiful as the bottle looks. How gorgeous?
Here are the two newest faces of fragrances. Blake Lively will be the face of Gucci Premiere and Kristen Stewart looks killer as the new face of Florabotanica by Balenciaga. Both ads are as different as the starlets themselves and they both look gorgeous as ever in them.
Although I would normally favor Blake Lively’s, it seems a bit played out. The whole glamorous pose is a bit overdone, while Stewart’s is definitely more artistic and cool. What do you guys think? Which do you prefer?
Check out Madonna on the cover of Vanity Fair Italia. To promote her new album “M.D.M.A.” and new fragrance “Truth or Dare”, the singer/superstar looks killer on the cover. The cover was shot during the promo video shoot for her fragrance and it shown in black and white. This is Madonna’s second cover of Vanity Fair Italia this year!! Crazy. She kicked off the year with their January issue in the vintage shot below that was shot by Herb Ritts back in 1987. It was a promo of the Who’s That Girl Tour. Besides the hair, who could tell how many years have passed between the two? She is really defying the age of time with these looks of hers. Jealous!
