Get The Look: Bit Of Bling

It’s really true that diamonds are a girls best friend.  A bit of sparkle adds so much to a look.  When you’re on a budget like me and can’t settle for the real thing all the time, my favorite go-to for accessories are rhinestones. Whether it be a brooch, a hair pin or even a phone cover.  I am pretty much obsessed with bling and it really steals everyone’s attention.

Sparkling Creations by Shauna produces blinged-out handcrafted phone cases that I think are adorable and I especially love my new one pictured.  They range from $30-$40 and you can pick one up here! The brooch I got from Nordstrom and I think it is perfection.  With sparkle like this, you can pretty much pair it with anything. Since the winter is coming up, what I like to do is pin it right onto my winter coat.  It definitely gives it a little something extra!

As for the hair pin, I picked this one up one day when I was at a flea market.  As I always say, the best finds are found at your local markets and thrift shops.  By doing a little digging, you find the best treasures.

What Do You Think?

So I bought this double-wrap bracelet a few months ago and I love it.  As I was putting it on this morning, a statement the woman who sold it to me(at a flea market by the way) popped into my head.  “You can wear it around you wrist or wear it as an ankle bracelet.”  Ankle bracelet?  I haven’t worn one of those in years! I decided, why not try it out? So today I roamed the streets of Manhattan sporting this look and I wonder what you guys all think?  Should double-wrap bracelets stay on your wrist or can you switch it up and wear it as an ankle bracelet? You decide.

I really love a simple look like the one above.  Dressing up a pair of leggings and loose-fitting top is a great “night-out” look.  With my shoes and jewelry, I felt this look seemed a bit warrior-esque and super fun.  Finding similar pieces was all too easy! Steal the look below.

Summer in the City.

I think it’s a lot of fun to mix and match, especially when it comes to your clothing and accessories. What I did with this look is I dressed up what would be a normally very casual look by simply adding some major costume jewelry bling. I find jewelry like this at flea markets and thrift stores. With this maxi skirt and a simple black tank top, I think the jewelry really livens it up. I wore Forever 21 bow flats that are basically like my staple when it comes to daytime flats and then switched it to my black suede, Prada pumps for night-time glam. What do you guys think of this look?
