WWD reports that Lanvin has broken the mold when it comes to their new fall advertisements. The fashion house led by Alber Elbaz has put real life non-models from 18-80 in their shots. Photographed by Steven Meisel in NYC these shots will be featured in all of our September issues. Elbaz told WWD, “I was interested to bring these clothes back to the street somehow, and seeing how they look on different ages, different sizes … It felt like a crazy family, and I like that.” Although they are “average people” they will of course look chic as hell! Could this be a new trend though? Will we be seeing our neighbors in Vogue magazine from here on out?

Rumor has it that H&M will be collaborating with yet another famous brand. According to WWD, H&M’s newest venture will be with Maison Martin Margiela. Crazy I know! Although, it is not confirmed yet, supposedly their will be a holiday collection coming up. The swedish retailer is known for collaborating with such designers as Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and Versace but H&M, very surprising. Let’s hope this happens and don’t worry we soon shall find out. I’ll keep ya updated.
How adorable is Lanvin designer, Alber Elbaz? Elbaz celebrated 1o years at Lanvin at this years ready-to-wear F/W runway show. The designer celebrated with friends and celebrities with a show and after party.
The collection is amazing. Elbaz has a keen eye for elegance. All of the pieces were tailored to perfection with bright hues and a bit of edginess. As always, there were beautiful ruffles and form fitted pieces as well. He also used a lot of gem stones and incorporated peplum skirts which I thought were lovely. Check out the jewelry and gloves too! Fit for a queen!
As soon as the show was over, the backdrop opened up, and there was Elbaz. After the bow, the party was on!
