My New Shoe Obsession.

My mom is the queen of finding the most fabulous finds at flea markets.  Lucky me, I get to benefit from her stylish eye as she scores with vintage pieces for me. Today I came home from the big city with one of my favorite finds she has ever purchased.  These Henry Beguelin for Barneys shoes were sitting on the stairs and :swoon: I fell in love.  What do you guys think of my wing-tips?

Summer in the City.

I think it’s a lot of fun to mix and match, especially when it comes to your clothing and accessories. What I did with this look is I dressed up what would be a normally very casual look by simply adding some major costume jewelry bling. I find jewelry like this at flea markets and thrift stores. With this maxi skirt and a simple black tank top, I think the jewelry really livens it up. I wore Forever 21 bow flats that are basically like my staple when it comes to daytime flats and then switched it to my black suede, Prada pumps for night-time glam. What do you guys think of this look?

Monique Lhuillier Footwear Collection.

After being known for one of the most amazing wedding gown designers, Monique Lhuillier will be launching her own collection of footwear due out next spring.  Although we’ve seen her footwear designs on the runway they have never been made available to the public.  The bridal and RTW designer will launch 15 styles incorporating day, evening, and bridal.

Summer Lovin’ Look.

A white summer dress is my favorite look for the season.  It is clean and pretty and should be a staple in every girls summer wardrobe.  The best thing about white is you can really mix any accessory you want with it, in any color you want.  I wore my favorite white dress that I got in the Hampton’s yesterday and I decided to really mix it up with my favorite pair of gladiator sandals and a flower headband I had made.  The gladiator sandals are my absolute favorite and I love to break them out whenever the slightest bit of warm weather hits.  I got these shoes around 5 years ago from Love My Shoes and they really stayed in good condition.  For the headband I simply used a plain black, thin, plastic headband and cut tiny paper roses that I got from a craft store.  After cutting the roses I just hot glued them onto the headband. So easy!  (check out my gold flower headband HERE!) The look is super simple and with a white dress the best thing to remember is to dress it up with your favorite accessories.

Christian Louboutin’s ‘Glass Slippers’

In honor of the re-release of the Disney classic, Cinderella, the famed Christian Louboutin has made all our dreams come true with this glass slipper inspired shoe.  The shoes are made with lace and Swarovski crystals and are butterfly-embezzeled.  “The slipper is the magic wand of transformation, which conjures confidence, beauty and love. The dream is a major factor in my language of design. There are no limits in the world of fantasy and there is always a happily ever after,” said Louboutin.  The heels are really fit for a princess!

Lady in Red at $26.

In honor of the 4th, I’ve added two newest accessories to my wardrobe, both being red and both being $26.  I love love love a vibrant red and nothing stands out more than a girl in it.  I guess it just has a built-in ego booster, am I wrong? My two newest purchases are the Chanel Le Vernis nail polish in Pirate #08 and these gorgeous pumps from Shoe Ocean which are amazing for just being a mere $26.  This website is ah-mazing and I get a lot of shoes and boots at great prices.  You must check it out.

The nail polish is also great.  Although it is a bit pricey for being $26, the color comes out really beautiful and bold with a Bridget Bardot feel to it.  You don’t have to worry about your nails chipping every five seconds and the polish dries pretty fast with a blue based color.  I am a huge fan of Sally Hansen’s Rapid Red and this is pretty similar so if you’re looking for polish that is 1/5 the price I’d go with that one!  Let me get one thing straight though, people usually think the prices come with the brand name and I do agree but Chanel’s nail polish is one step above the rest.  I do recommend trying this color out. Both the pumps and the nail polish were great buys for me at $26.  These shoes and nails scream sexiness.  Don’t you agree?
