WWD reports that Lanvin has broken the mold when it comes to their new fall advertisements. The fashion house led by Alber Elbaz has put real life non-models from 18-80 in their shots. Photographed by Steven Meisel in NYC these shots will be featured in all of our September issues. Elbaz told WWD, ”I was interested to bring these clothes back to the street somehow, and seeing how they look on different ages, different sizes … It felt like a crazy family, and I like that.” Although they are “average people” they will of course look chic as hell! Could this be a new trend though? Will we be seeing our neighbors in Vogue magazine from here on out?
