Arizona Muse is looking gorgeous in the new 2012 fall campaign for DVF. The pictures were shot by Camilla Akrans and dons the brands lip clutch and shiny-toned colors. Diane von Furstenberg tells WWD of the muse that inspired this campaign, “She is a real woman…strong and happy. She’s determined, she is talented, she is a hard worker and she knows what she wants. And that is so DVF.” So true!

I am super excited to announce that amazing acts will be taking the stage for the Global Festival this year. Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses, Neil Young and K’naan will all be performing at the Great Lawn in Central Park, September 29th, to raise awareness of the high levels of poverty in this world. Hugh Evans co-founder of The Global Poverty Project told Rolling Magazine, “The standard model for this kind of event is you sell a ticket through Ticketmaster for $60 or $70 and a portion of that goes to charity. We wanted Global Festival to be about action, not money. By thinking different about how we distribute tickets, we’re building a movement.” Since the Great Lawn is open the public, all tickets are free and are going to be distributed via lottery. This is a great cause and we should all take part in helping The Global Poverty Project.
Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the lookbook shoot for Kirna Zabête for Target. Kirna Zabête was opened by friends Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini in Soho and holds high-end designer clothing. Now its their turn to design and have decided on a collaboration with none other than Target. The collection will be out September 9th with a price range of $9.99 to $199.99.
I really love a simple look like the one above. Dressing up a pair of leggings and loose-fitting top is a great “night-out” look. With my shoes and jewelry, I felt this look seemed a bit warrior-esque and super fun. Finding similar pieces was all too easy! Steal the look below.
Prada’s new Fall 2012 ad campaign is quite interesting. Shot by Steven Meisel, models Magdalena Frackowiak and Anne Vyalitsina look crisp and yet intense playing a game of chess. The video is said to be, “A virtual labyrinth of fantasy and reality. Shifting camera angles and an endless depth of field create a playful illusion of perspective and proportion, recalling the setting for a videogame. The effect of the campaign is a new take on beauty and a futuristic vision of fantasy and desire.” What do you guys think?
